About Melissa
Inspired by Children, Nature, Travel and Art History
Hi, I'm Melissa Lam. For over 20 years, I've been fortunate to share my passion for art and learning with children ranging from preschool to 5th grade. I'm a Montessori certified teacher and studied Early Childhood Education at Metro State University of Denver. I've taught in a variety of classrooms and settings, and helping children bring their artistic gifts to life is what brings me the most joy.
I've taught and studied art and art history for many years, and my instruction implements many mediums. My focus is teaching children how to draw realistically and develop important skills such as fine motor, hand-eye coordination, decision making and problem solving in a non-competitive environment.
